Job summary

Parkside Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide patient care and document nursing activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role requires English proficiency and compassionate care in a team environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA license, demonstrates patient-centered communication, and is eager to adapt to evolving nursing practices while ensuring resident safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must possess CNA certificate.
• Must be a licensed CNA in accordance with state laws.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must deal tactfully with residents, families, staff and public.
• Must work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition.
• Must be willing to adopt new nursing practices.
• Must relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
• Must not pose a direct health or safety threat in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Treat and document care for residents under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Provide compassionate patient care and maintain care records.
• Communicate resident status and care needs to the care team.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job position is to treat and document care for residents with impaired ability to perform at an independent level due to disease process, under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Education

• Must possess, a certificate for Certified Nursing Assistant.

Experience

• Must be a licensed CNA, in accordance with laws of this state.

Specific Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
