Job summary

CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island, Nebraska, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our patient care team.

You will provide essential support under RN direction to promote comfort, safety, and recovery. You will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and contribute to the patient's plan of care as part of our interdisciplinary team, upholding high standards of conduct and patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the 75-hour state approved Nursing Assistant course.
• Nursing Assistant certification in Nebraska.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care under RN direction.
• Assist with patient transport and daily activities.
• Document cares provided in the patient’s record.
• Participate in the plan of care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety and report changes to the team.

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.

Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.

• Under the direction and supervision of the Licensed Practitioner, RN or LPN, participates in the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Contributes to the assessment of the health status of the healthcare consumer.
• Plan – Contributes to the plan of care through observation, data collection and communication of findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement – Provides basic patient care activities based on the plan of care and as delegated.
• Evaluate – Contributes to the evaluation of the healthcare consumer by observing responses to interventions and communicating findings to the appropriate member of the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents cares provided in the healthcare consumer’s record.

Pay Range

$17.24 - $24.35 /hour
