Job summary

Sterling Healthcare Management in Elwood, IN is seeking a caring Certified Nursing Assistant to join our long-term care team. You will provide hands-on personal care to residents, assist with daily routines, and be the heartbeat of our nursing floor.

Responsibilities include supporting bathing, meals, mobility, and reporting changes to the nurse. Requires current Indiana CNA license and state-approved training; new grads welcome and a strong team player mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in Indiana
• Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide Training program
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Long-term care experience preferred — new graduates welcome
• Genuine compassion for elderly and medically complex residents
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene
• Help residents with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and repositioning
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake/output
• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to the nurse
• Respond to call lights quickly and with a caring attitude
• Follow care plans, infection control protocols, and safety standards
• Document care provided accurately each shift
