Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities (dressing, eating, grooming, mobility, hygiene).
  • Support residents per personal care plans, promoting dignity and independence.
  • Observe residents and report changes to nursing staff.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and families in a warm, engaging atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver exceptional resident experiences.

What You'll Do

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you'll help create exceptional daily experiences for residents by providing compassionate care, supporting independence, and delivering personalized service through The Sterling Touch®. Whether assisting with activities of daily living, supporting wellness initiatives, helping with medication administration (where licensed), working in Luminations® (memory care), or simply being a trusted companion, you'll make a meaningful difference every day.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, eating, grooming, personal hygiene, mobility, communication, and toileting
  • Support residents in accordance with their personalized care plans while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being
  • Observe residents and communicate changes or concerns to the nursing team
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere
  • Participate in community activities, wellness programs, dining experiences, and special events
  • Work collaboratively with Health & Wellness, Culinary, Lifestyle, and Hospitality teams to deliver an exceptional resident experience
  • Ensure exceptional documentation is submitted for all services provided or declined
  • D eliver care that is professional, respectful, timely and personalized
  • Help create an environment where every resident feels valued and cared for

What You Bring

We're looking for individuals who are passionate about service, hospitality, and senior care.
Preferred qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • One or more years of experience providing assistance with activities of daily living, highly preferred
  • One or more years of experience working with seniors, highly preferred
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), required as applicable by state and assignment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and genuine desire to enhance the lives of others
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with residents, guests, supervisors, and team members
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and remain active throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
