Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring in Sulphur, LA. Applicants must hold current ACI certification and be able to pass a DISA drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities include concrete testing, soil compaction tests with sand cone or nuclear density gauge, Proctor/Atterberg/sieve analyses, asphalt density testing, and pile monitoring. Strong safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• Experience: +2 years in Construction Materials Testing.
• Current ACI certification required.
• Dependable transportation; truck preferred due to incentive program.
• Must pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must pass a background check.
• TWIC card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests: concrete (slump, air content, temp, unit weight, cylinders), soil compaction (sand cone or nuclear density gauge), Proctor/Atterberg/sieve analyses.
• Take asphalt density tests and core sampling.
• Monitor piles during installation and document capacity, penetration, and blows.
• Produce timely, detailed reports and maintain safety protocols.

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking applicants for the Construction Materials Testing Technician role in Sulphur, LA. This role involves performing field testing of construction materials—including soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring—to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Current ACI certification required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform field tests such as:
  • Concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and casting cylinders for compressive strength)
  • Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge
  • Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests (as applicable)
  • Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling
  • Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts
• Produce timely and detailed reports
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all time
• Follow all company's procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with clients
• Arrive at the job site to which you are dispatched, on time each day
• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis
• Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay any information to management

REQUIREMENTS

• +2 year of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
• Current ACI certification.
• Must have dependable transportation, a truck is preferable as there is an incentive program to use it for work
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen
• Must be able to pass a background check
• TWIC card (preferred)
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment
• Capable of maintaining an "On Call" type schedule and must be willing to work obscure hours
