Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field testing on soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring, ensuring compliance with project specs. Qualified candidates have 2+ years of CM testing experience, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass drug and background checks. TWIC is preferred; on-call hours may apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in construction materials testing.
• Current ACI certification.
• Must have dependable transportation; a truck is preferable for the incentive program.
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• TWIC card is preferred.
• Physically able to lift heavy materials and equipment.
• Capable of maintaining an on-call schedule and willing to work obscure hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests including concrete testing ( slump, air content, temp, unit weight, cylinder casting).
• Conduct soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
• Perform Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis and other soil classification tests.
• Carry out asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Monitor piles during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow safety procedures.
• Coordinate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Build positive relationships with clients and communicate with dispatch daily.

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking applicants for the Construction Materials Testing Technician role in Sulphur, LA. This role involves performing field testing of construction materials—including soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring—to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Current ACI certification required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform field tests such as:
  • Concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and casting cylinders for compressive strength)
  • Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge
  • Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests (as applicable)
  • Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling
  • Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts
• Produce timely and detailed reports
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all time
• Follow all company's procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with clients
• Arrive at the job site to which you are dispatched, on time each day
• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis
• Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay any information to management

REQUIREMENTS

• +2 year of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
• Current ACI certification.
