Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Houston seeks a CMT Project Professional I to manage and execute construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion on low-complexity work. You will coordinate field activities, budgets, reporting, and client communications while upholding ECS Core Values.

The role develops independent project management skills, mentors junior staff, and supports business development efforts.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering/related field preferred; minimum HS diploma or GED required.
• 6 years of experience in construction materials testing or equivalent.
• Strong communication and project management skills; able to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Working knowledge of ASTM standards and CMT principles.
• Ability to interpret field and lab testing results; client relationship development.

Responsibilities

• Manages CMT projects from proposal through completion for low-complexity work.
• Reviews daily field reports and resolves technical/administrative issues.
• Manages budgets, invoices, pay apps, and collections.
• Prepares proposals and change orders.
• Coordinates field staff and provides training/oversight.
• Communicates with clients regarding status and deliverables.
• Mentors junior staff and supports team development.
