Job summary

Building & Earth Sciences, Inc. is seeking a motivated CMT Field Technician to join our team in the Augusta, GA area. You will perform field testing and inspection services for construction materials, travel to project sites, and maintain accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has prior CMT or inspection experience and NICET or ACI certification. The role requires reading plans, reliable transportation, and a willingness to travel locally.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction materials testing or inspection required.
• NICET or ACI certification required.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications helpful.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and sampling of construction materials.
• Test in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project specs.
• Document test results accurately and efficiently.
• Travel to various construction sites in the Augusta/Aiken area.
• Communicate with contractors, project managers, engineers, and clients regarding field activities and test results.
• Maintain testing equipment and company vehicles.
• Complete daily field reports, testing documentation, and related paperwork.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Represent the company professionally with clients and project teams.
