We are seeking a CMT Field Technician 2 to join our Charlotte, NC team! Come join us!

Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• ATC is currently seeking a candidate to fill an immediate full-time opening to perform construction materials testing/inspection including, but not limited to:
• Soils sampling and testing, concrete sampling and testing, and various other testing and inspections.
• Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and accurately prepare field reports in accordance with ATC’s report standards and applicable codes. Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma
• ACI and Troxler Certification
• Good driving record
• Ability to pass background check
  

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in testing soils and concrete.
• Lab experience with performing Proctor tests.
• Field experience with monitoring construction operations including proof rolling subgrade soils, completing hand auger and DCP testing of foundations.
• General understanding of fill operations and read plans and specifications.
• Ability to work in software programs to enter report data and provide detailed summaries of ongoing work
• Local experience and familiarity with local engineering practice
• Experience in construction oversight for foundation and pavement construction and earthwork observation.
  
  

Technical Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.
• Troxler and ACI certifications
  
  

Other Miscellaneous Qualities

• Ability to travel, if so what 15-20% of the time
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check for clearance to work on various private and government facilities.
