Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Austin seeks an undergraduate intern to support the Front End Operations at the Austin Manufacturing & Technology Center. You will collaborate with Equipment/Process Engineers to optimize MTBF, MTTR, equipment efficiency, capacity and cycle time.

You will participate in fab-to-fab standardization, tool-to-tool matching, cost and defect reduction, and throughput improvement projects. The intern will own one high-impact project and present findings to fab leadership, building

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering or related field.
Strong data analysis, teamwork, and communication skills.
Solid knowledge of SPC and its use in troubleshooting and making improvements.
Aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

Work on projects under the direction of an Equipment/Process Engineer to optimize MTBF, MTTR, equipment efficiency, capacity, cycle time, quality and cost.
Participate in fab-to-fab standardization activities, tool-to-tool matching, cost reduction, defect reduction, as well as throughput improvement projects.
Learn to develop logical and objective data analysis skills to establish and track metrics to meet department goals.
Intern will own one high-business impact project during the internship with research, analysis, and presentation to fab leadership.
