Job summary

TSMC Washington is seeking a CMP Equipment Engineer to join our engineering team in Camas, WA. You will support CMP and automated handling equipment, install and hook up tools, and identify opportunities to improve equipment KPI in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

You will work with technicians, engineers and managers, becoming certified on various tool types and maintaining spare parts inventory while contributing to real-time monitoring and SPC data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or 8+ years CMP experience.
• Ability to assimilate complex technical information with leadership and collaboration.
• Tenacity, adaptability and resilience in a high-volume production setting.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and record problems related to product, process or quality system.
• Initiate action to prevent non-conformities from occurring.
• Provide solutions, verify implementation and control processing until corrected.
• Manage area budget by implementing cost savings ideas.
• Troubleshoot robotics, mechanical, pneumatic, chemical and electrical systems at a high level.
• Perform routine maintenance and propose improvements to procedures.
• Implement/maintain certification programs.
• Create training material for maintenance tasks.
• Implement CIP programs to improve tool reliability and availability.
