Job summary

UHS is seeking an experienced Chief Medical Officer/Medical Director to lead and oversee psychiatric services at a behavioral health facility on the West Coast. This executive role requires managing a multidisciplinary team and ensuring high-quality patient care in compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have an MD/DO, board certifications, and previous leadership experience in psychiatry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in psychiatry required.
• Active medical license or eligibility for licensure in state.
• Previous leadership experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
• Oversee inpatient, PHP, and IOP services for both child and adult populations.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and UHS policies.

Universal Health Services (UHS), a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services with over 250 facilities nationwide, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chief Medical Officer (CMO) / Medical Director to oversee psychiatric services at one of our standalone Behavioral Health facilities on the West Coast. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners.
• Oversee inpatient, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services for both child and adolescent, as well as adult populations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and UHS policies.
• Participate in strategic planning and development of new programs and services.

• Board Certified in Psychiatry; Child & Adolescent Psychiatry certification is a plus.
