Job summary

Tech Mahindra in El Cajon, CA is seeking a CMM Scanner to develop and validate coordinate measuring machine programs for aerospace dimensional inspection. This role supports inspection accuracy and manufacturing quality.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with 3D scanning and metrology, and proficiency with PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, and CAM2, plus GD&T knowledge and experience in high-mix environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field with 4-6 years of relevant exp.
• Aerospace manufacturing or MRO experience; familiarity with CMM software and metrology best practices; support high-mix/fast-turnaround inspection.

Responsibilities

• Relevant experience in 3D scanning and metrology.
• Hands-on experience with Hexagon Absolute Arm, ROMER Arm, or portable CMMs.
• Experience with laser scanning probes (RS6, AS1, etc.).
• Knowledge of GD&T, dimensional inspection, and quality control.
• Experience with software such as PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, CAM2.

Position Summary

The CMM Programmer is responsible for developing, validating, and optimizing coordinate measuring machine programs to support dimensional inspection of aerospace components. This role plays a key part in ensuring inspection accuracy, product conformity, and manufacturing quality performance.

Position Responsibilities

• Relevant experience in 3D scanning and metrology
• Hands-on experience with Hexagon Absolute Arm, ROMER Arm, or portable CMMs
• Experience with laser scanning probes (RS6, AS1, etc.)
• Knowledge of GD&T, dimensional inspection, and quality control
• Experience with software such as:

1. PC-DMIS
2. PolyWorks
3. CAM2

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with 4-6 years of relevant exp.
• Aerospace manufacturing or MRO experience; familiarity with common CMM software/scanning platforms and metrology best practices; experience supporting high-mix or fast-turnaround inspection environments.

The salary for this role is $70000 to $80000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
