Job summary

MAHLE is seeking a Quality Inspector in Dayton, OH to support the Quality Assurance System with precision layout inspections, gage calibration, and data analysis to ensure conformance to drawings and customer specs.

You will read drawings, perform first article layouts, maintain calibration, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in a production environment. This role offers growth and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; 2+ years in related field required.
• Experience with mechanical inspection and data interpretation.
• CMM programming and SPC experience preferred.
• Certifications such as CCT/CQI/CMI/metrological desirable.
• Proficient with MS Office and able to work in a team.

Your Contribution

Perform the activities that support the Quality Assurance System. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, data collection, reporting, analysis, calibration duties.

• Fully understand quality standards, procedures and customer requirements
• Perform layout inspections on products, fixtures, or dies. This would include first article layout, gage reproducibility and repeatability studies, and capability studies.
• Maintain gage and checking fixture control and calibration.
• Observe part through microscope and adjust calibrated controls of measuring machine to center watch part and to determine vertical and horizontal measurements.
• Compares readings with chart and drawing specifications and calculate difference between readings and specifications.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Associates degree or experience in related field with a minimum of (2) years
• Able to program and measure with previous experience with mechanical inspection is a plus.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret data and technical procedures.
• CMM programming and SPC experience.
• Certifications desired: CCT (Calibration Technician Certification), CQI (Quality Inspector Certification), CMI (Mechanical Inspector Certification), Metrological Certification
• Experience with using Microsoft Office software Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
