Job summary

MAHLE GmbH in Dayton, OH is seeking a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment across a high-speed production environment.

You will interpret schematics, troubleshoot systems, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and safety. The role requires reading blueprints, teamwork, and flexibility to work various shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience as an industrial maintenance technician/machine repairman.
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read blueprints/design schematics.
• Ability to work in a safety-focused environment.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Interpret schematics, prints, diagrams, and oral instructions and apply them to the task at hand.
• Troubleshoot and identify hazards and diagnose malfunctioning systems.
• Perform corrective, preventive maintenance & calibrations.
• Prepare new machines and production equipment for operation.
• Disassemble machines and repairs or replaces broken parts.
• Perform welding, grinding, and flame cutting activities.
• Able to work as part of a team and contribute to the maintenance team and facility in general.
• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand / power tools and precision-measuring instruments.
• Operation of tool room equipment (lathe, mill, drill presses, etc.).
• Maintain safe and clean working environment.
• Comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned by Supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
