Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector in Franklin, MA to perform first piece, in‑process, and final inspections, and first article inspections. You will document non‑conforming material reports and build traceable electronic inspection reports from customer drawings and specs.

You will translate blueprints and process instructions into precise inspection actions, ensuring all tools and gauges are calibrated to our standards and supporting AS9100/AS9102 compliance where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; ASQ certification is a plus.
• Expertise in GD&T with confident interpretation of machining and fabrication drawings.
• Fluency in MS Windows applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with MRP systems.
• Keen attention to detail, strong shop math; trigonometry proficiency is a plus.
• Background with Zeiss CMM and Calypso programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards (AS9100, AS9102, ASTM’s) preferred.
• Meet the requirements under ITAR – U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).

Responsibilities

• Execute first piece, in-process, and final inspections—plus first article inspections—to verify compliance with QA requirements.
• Document everything rigorously: non-conforming material reports, travelers, and control charts.
• Build electronic inspection reports from customer drawings and specifications and store them for traceability.
• Translate instructions—blueprints, travelers, work instructions, process specs, sketches, and verbal guidance—into precise inspection actions.
• Check that all inspection tools, machinery, and gauges are calibrated to company standards.
