Job summary

Toyota Racing Development USA in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a CMM Inspector Technician to perform dimensional layout inspection of machined castings and components on Zeiss CMMs using Calypso, ensuring conformance to engineering drawings and inspection plans.

You will load and fixture parts, establish datums, apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5, and generate first article and in-process reports with full traceability in the quality system.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma and an AA degree or trade school in quality/metrology.
• Three years of CMM operator/programmer experience in a precision setting.
• Experience with Zeiss CMMs and Calypso software required.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional layout inspection of parts on Zeiss CMMs per plans and drawings.
• Fixture parts, verify datums, and provide feedback to improve setup clarity.
• Interpret GD&T, determine measurement methods, and disposition conforming/non-conforming parts.
• Generate reports and ensure traceability in the quality system.
• Maintain inspection lab 5S standards and support root cause analyses.
