Job summary

CMI Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join our aerospace and defense manufacturing team. You will create, modify, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS from 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires 5+ years as a CMM operator and 3+ years as a CMM programmer with PC-DMIS, strong problem solving, and the ability to work with engineers and inspectors to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years as a CMM operator using PC-DMIS.
• Minimum 3+ years as CMM programmer using PC-DMIS offline from 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as quality inspector.
• High School or GED Diploma required.
• Technical college or secondary training in a quality discipline preferred.
• Read and interpret ASME Y14.5M drawings.
• Ability to program, set-up, and prove out with minimal supervision on PC-DMIS.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, edit, and implement new CMM programs using PC-DMIS from 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Audit, implement and revise programs as needed for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with CMM programmers and inspectors to solve complex issues.
• Work with engineering and inspection leads to ensure data collection, program efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop best practices and lean processes for continuous CMM program improvement.
• Continuously improve and learn new software and different equipment.
