Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking an experienced CMM Operator for a premier aerospace and automotive manufacturer in Macomb County. The candidate will inspect high-precision components using CMMs and PC-DMIS, reading blueprints and GD&T to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.

The role involves first article, in-process, and final inspections, along with documenting results and reporting non-conformances. Attention to detail and problem-solving are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CMM operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with PC-DMIS (program editing and running programs required).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience inspecting tight-tolerance, precision components.
• Aerospace and/or Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect precision-machined components.
• Utilize PC-DMIS software for running programs and performing dimensional inspections.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Document and report inspection results accurately.
• Identify non-conformances and communicate findings to Quality and Production teams.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with aerospace/automotive standards.
