Barron Industries in Oxford, MI is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to develop, program, and maintain CMM programs for the dimensional inspection of production castings, wax patterns, machined parts and assemblies.

You will interpret drawings, GD&T and customer requirements to create inspection methods, generate reports, and support new job launches while improving processes. Must have strong attention to detail and teamwork with Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing.

Competenze

• At least two years of CMM programming and operation experience.
• Experience with PC-DMIS CMM programming software.
• Experience with PolyWorks or Geomagic Control X preferred.
• Experience using FARO arms, KEYENCE 3D scanners, or similar portable measurement equipment preferred.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, CAD models, and dimensional inspection methods.
• Strong knowledge of geometry and trigonometry as applied to dimensional measurement.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Aerospace manufacturing or AS9100 or similar quality management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing personnel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.

Mansioni

• Develop, modify, and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS to inspect parts in accordance with engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.
• Analyze dimensional inspection results and work with Engineering and Manufacturing to investigate out-of-tolerance conditions and identify potential process improvements.
• Assist with first article documentation, deviations, waivers, and other customer-required submissions.
• Maintain inspection programs, measurement routines, and related documentation to ensure consistency and traceability.
• Support calibration requirements and proper use of measuring equipment.
• Perform dock audits, floor inspections, and other dimensional verification activities as required.
• Follow applicable AS9100 requirements, quality system procedures, and departmental work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, including AVOs, CARs, ECRs, brainstorming sessions, training, and continuing education.
