Job summary

Linamar Corporation seeks a skilled CMM Programmer to provide layout information for new machine start-ups, capability studies, and projects requiring precise measurement data. The role requires reading blueprints, GD&T, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure measurement integrity.

You'll develop CMM programs using PCDMIS and Polyworks, while collaborating with QA, CAD/CAM, and vendors for calibration and maintenance of CMM equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in CMM programming or related field preferred but not required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in CMM operating preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide layout information from CMM for new machine start-ups and capability studies.
• Read blueprints and GD&T to ensure measurement integrity.
• Start, run, and program CMMs in the plant.
• Develop CMM programs using PCDMIS and Polyworks.
• Coordinate with vendors for calibration and repair.
• Assist QA and CAD/CAM teams with layout data and analysis.
• Maintain annual competency evaluations and training participation.
• Follow supervisor instructions and participate in training seminars.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
