Job summary

MPI, an employee-owned manufacturer, is seeking a CMM Programmer in Connecticut to develop, validate, and troubleshoot CMM programs for new and existing products.

You will interpret CAD/GD&T, perform first article inspections, Gage R&R, capability studies, and work with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to drive process improvements.

This role offers exposure to metrology technologies and opportunities to contribute to defense, medical, and safety market programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to create and modify CMM programs independently, not just operate existing programs.
• Proficiency with PC-DMIS, Calypso, or comparable CMM software.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Experience performing mechanical inspections using precision measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with SPC, capability studies, Gage R&R, CAD models, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, validate, and troubleshoot CMM programs for new and existing products.
• Program and operate CMM equipment using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar platforms.
• Interpret complex drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements to plan inspections.
• Perform first article inspections, capability studies, and Gage R&R.
• Analyze dimensional inspection data and propose process improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Tooling to resolve inspection challenges.
