Job summary

TOMZ is seeking a skilled CMM/Metrology Programmer to join our team in Berlin, CT. The role focuses on developing and maintaining CMM programs and fixtures for production material inspection, following GD&T standards.

The ideal candidate will have Calypso or Open DMIS experience, strong blueprints interpretation, and the ability to collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing and QA to ensure precise measurements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and program development.
• Experience with CMMs, vision systems and related metrology tools.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret inspection criteria.

Responsibilities

• Develops, verifies, and operates automated inspection programs for first piece, in-process, and final inspections.
• Proves out programs to limit measurement bias, linearity and reproducibility errors.
• Maintains automated inspection machines, probes, and scales.
• Designs fixtures and selects instruments for inspection.
• Supports data collection and integration with inspection plans.
• Assists with Gage R&R studies and MSAs.
• Coordinates calibration activities and maintains traceability.
