Job summary

Seyer Industries, a precision aerospace and defense components manufacturer based in St. Peters, Missouri, seeks a CMM Programmer to develop and optimize measurements for high-precision parts.

You will work with PC-DMIS across multiple CMMs to capture critical customer requirements and uphold strict quality standards. You will collaborate with QA, NDT, and production teams to implement improvements and maintain Seyer’s QMS in line with AS9100.

Responsibilities

• Develop new and optimize existing CMM programs using PC-DMIS software for various CMMs, complying with internal programming requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications to ensure CMM programs meet explicit and implicit requirements.
• Manage CMM program configuration, revising programs as needed to support internal requests and customer changes.
• Respond promptly to CMM troubleshooting requests to minimize downtime.
• Assist Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, Production and other areas with special projects.
• Maintain excellent communications with QA, QC, NDT, Final Inspection, and Production teams.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Seyer’s QMS aligned with aerospace standards (AS9100).
• Participate in continuous improvement and comply with Seyer Industries QMS policies and procedures.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Develop new and optimize existing CMM programs using PC-DMIS software for various CMMs, complying with internal programming requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications as needed to ensure CMM programs measure and record all necessary implicit and explicit customer requirements.
• Responsible for CMM program configuration management, ensuring that CMM programs are revised as necessary to support internal requests and customer changes.
• Promptly respond to CMM troubleshooting requests such as machine crashes to minimize downtime.
• Assist Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, Production, and other key areas with special projects as assigned.
• Maintain excellent communications and working relationships with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Nondestructive Testing, Final Inspection, and Production.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of Seyer's Quality Management System in alignment with aerospace industry standards (AS9100).
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and conform to Seyer Industries Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, policies, and procedures.
