Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a skilled CMM Inspector to inspect composite and metallic components for aerospace and defence applications. The role involves visual and dimensional checks on raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods to ensure strict quality compliance.

You will create FAIR packs, support MRB decisions, and maintain detailed inspection records while collaborating with production to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in quality inspection/control within manufacturing, ideally composites, aerospace, or a related industry.
• Strong experience with CMM programming and operation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using Offline PCDMIS Programming.
• Skilled with quality inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometres, and CMMs.
• Understanding of composite materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection of composite and metallic components.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Gauge R&R reporting.
• Support MRB process.
• Create FAIR packs and other related documentation required for C of C to customer parts.
• Feedback regular or systemic failures to Operations / Engineering.
• Collaborate with production staff to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality assurance activities.
