Job summary

MSI-Viking is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to support dimensional inspection using PC-DMIS and Calypso. The role involves developing, modifying, and executing CMM programs, interpreting complex drawings and CAD models, and ensuring accurate inspection results across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate will be technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating with customers and internal teams. A strong GD&T background is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of CMM programming experience
• Hands-on programming experience with PC-DMIS and Calypso
• Strong understanding of GD&T

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and execute CMM programs using PC-DMIS and Calypso
• Develop inspection programs from CAD models, engineering drawings, and customer specifications
• Operate and troubleshoot CMM equipment
• Perform precision dimensional inspections and analyze measurement results
• Apply GD&T principles to inspection and programming activities
• Conduct measurement system analysis and provide technical guidance as needed
• Troubleshoot programming, alignment, probing, and measurement issues
• Document inspection results and prepare clear, accurate reports
• Work with customers and internal teams to resolve measurement and quality concerns
• Support quality and inspection activities in accordance with applicable procedures

Required Skills and Experience

• Ability to interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
• Experience with quality assurance and inspection processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree in engineering technology, manufacturing technology, metrology, or a related field preferred
