Job summary

Trio Manufacturing is seeking a CMM Programmer in El Segundo, CA, with the move to a brand new 130,000 sq ft facility in Carson on the horizon. You will program on PC-DMIS, perform first article inspections, dimensional inspection, and interpret GD&T to support aerospace quality.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of quality control experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Hands-on CMM programming experience with PC-DMIS.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and work specs.
• Familiarity with military and commercial standards.
• Experience with FAI (AS9102) documentation.
• Precision measuring tool proficiency (micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• High school diploma with relevant machining or inspection coursework or training.

Responsibilities

• CMM programming—generate on-machine and offline PC-DMIS programs for inspection stages.
• First Article Inspection packages, in-process reports, and AQL documentation.
• Dimensional inspection with calipers, micrometers, and comparators to tight tolerances.
• Blueprint & GD&T interpretation of engineering drawings and standards.
• Program management—organize CMM programs, setup photos, and reports for traceability.
• Technical support—assist inspection and manufacturing teams to meet deadlines.
• Manual inspection using hand tools when needed on the floor.

Shift: 1st Shift Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Pay: $35 - $50

We're scaling up, and we need a CMM Programmer who's ready to grow with us.

What You'll Own

This isn't a "load the part and hit run" role. You'll be programming, inspecting, and driving quality from the floor up:

• CMM Programming - generate on-machine and offline programs (PC-DMIS) for first piece, in-process, and final inspection
• First Article Inspection - complete AS9102 Form 3 FAI packages, in-process reports, and AQL documentation
• Dimensional Inspection - advanced CMM programming alongside calipers, micrometers, and comparators to tolerances as tight as ±0.0001"
• Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation - read and apply engineering drawings, military and commercial standards, and customer specs
• Program Management - save and organize all CMM programs, setup photos, and inspection reports for full traceability
• Technical Support - be the go-to resource for the inspection department and collaborate with the manufacturing team to hit deadlines
• Manual Inspection - step in with hand tools when needed; you know your way around the floor

What You Bring

Required:

• 3-5 years of quality control experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing
• Hands-on CMM programming experience - PC-DMIS proficiency is a must
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work specifications
• Familiarity with military and commercial standards
• Experience with FAI (AS9102) documentation
• Precision measuring tool proficiency (micrometers, calipers, comparators)
• High school diploma with relevant coursework, training, or certification in machining or inspection

You’ll really stand out with:

• Experience with offline CMM programming
• Aerospace or defense manufacturing background
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems
• Experience supporting customer source inspections or audits
