This role inspects incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and records results. Responsibilities include GD&T application, dimensional inspections, documentation, and collaboration with production to maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of inspection experience in aerospace or a similar manufacturing industry.
• Strong working knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and dimensional inspection.
• Ability to interpret operation sheets, purchase orders, specifications, and special process certifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, shop math proficiency, and attention to detail.
• Ability to evaluate manufacturing methods and procedures for compliance with quality requirements.
• Solid verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to maintain complete and accurate inspection documentation.

Responsibilities

• Complete Inspection Method Sheets and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Verify special process certifications against applicable part specifications.
• Perform first-piece inspections and First Article Inspections (FAIs).
• Identify and document nonconforming materials or components and communicate findings to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to address inspection issues and maintain product quality.
