Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a Quality Control Bench Inspector in Portland, CT to uphold strict quality standards across incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products. You will verify conformance to drawings and specifications through GD&T, measurements, and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years of inspection experience in aerospace or similar manufacturing
• Strong GD&T, blueprint interpretation and dimensional inspection knowledge
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and shop math
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process and finished products using visual and dimensional measurements.
• Review POs, operation sheets, blueprints, and process certifications to verify conformance.
• Perform complex dimensional layouts using operation sheets and drawings.
• Apply GD&T to evaluate part conformity.
• Document inspection results and maintain inspection records.
• Identify nonconforming materials and communicate findings.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to address inspection issues.
