Job summary

Materion in Elmore, OH sucht eine/n CMM Operator/Programmer zur Qualitätsprüfung von Bauteilen. Zu Ihren Aufgaben gehören Inprozess- und Endprüfung mit CMM oder Faro Arm, das Interpretieren von Zeichnungen und die Entwicklung von CMM-Programmen.

Sie verfügen über Hauptschulabschluss oder GED, 2 Jahre Erfahrung im CMM-Betrieb/Programmierung (Zeiss Calypso und FARO/Polyworks), sowie gutes Mess- und Werkzeugwissen. Schichtbereitschaft und ISO-9001/AS9100-Kenntnisse werden vorausgesetzt.

Qualifications

  • Hauptschulabschluss oder GED.
  • 2 Jahre Erfahrung im Betrieb/Programmieren von CMMs.
  • Umfangreiche Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Messwerkzeugen (Messschieber, Mikrometer, Bohrlehren etc.).
  • Gute Lesefähigkeiten von Zeichnungen/Blueprints und grundlegende ISO-Standardskenntnisse.
  • Bereitschaft, im 2./3. Schichtdienst zu arbeiten.
  • Export-Compliance-Voraussetzungen berücksichtigen.

Responsibilities

  • Durchführen von Inprozess- und Endprüfungen mittels CMM oder FARO Arm.
  • Interpretieren von Zeichnungen und CAD-Designs; Entwickeln von CMM-Programmentechniken.
  • Betrieb von CMM zur Annahme/ Ablehnung von Produkten (First Article/ in-process).
  • Dokumentation der Prüfergebnisse; Mitarbeit bei Problemlösungen dimensioneller Abweichungen.
  • Teilnahme an PPAP-/Gage-R&R-/SPC-bezogenen Aktivitäten.

Performs in-process and final inspection of products related to CMM inspection; CMM inspection of incoming tools and inspection of tools needing annual dimensional checks. Also, has the responsibility of identifying, documenting, and segregating non-conforming materials or tools. Document results of inspection appropriately.***You will have the opportunity to:**** Perform and report routine in-process dimensional sample inspection of parts.* Interpret blueprint and/or CAD design and develop CMM computer program techniques for the dimensional inspection process* Operation of CMM(s) to determine acceptance or rejection of product via first piece and in-process inspections. Experience operating a FARO arm favorable.* Participate in dimensional problem-solving activities* Perform first article dimensional inspection of parts **REQUIREMENTS:** * High School Diploma or GED* 2 years’ experience operating/programming CMM – Zeiss Calypso Software and FARO arm (Polyworks)* Extensive knowledge and experience with hand gages (including calipers, inside micrometer, o.d. mic., depth mic., height gage, chamfer gage, groove mic., thread gages, dial bore indicator, etc.)* Strong blueprint reading skills* Have problem solving skills, be self-motivated, and willing to make sure work is within spec (some personnel oversight/guidance may be needed)* Familiarity with ISO standards* **Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift.**Additional Qualifications:* Ability to program Caylpso and/or FARO* PPAP/Gage R & R/SPC knowledge* Familiar with GAGETRAK calibration software* Familiar with requirements of ISO 9001/AS9100* Experience mentoring other CMM personnel* Experience in preparing data packages for PPAP* 3D scanning knowledge and experienceHP**The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).****The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
