Job summary

Miller Industries, Inc. is seeking a CMM Operator to perform dimensional inspections of parts and fixtures using CMM equipment and precision tools. This role collaborates with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to support process improvement and quality assurance initiatives.

Responsibilities include evaluating fixtures, measuring parts, producing reports, and maintaining inspection-area organization. Prior experience with CMM/CAD/CAM software is essential, along with strong geometry

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with CMM, CAD, or CAM software.
• Understanding of geometric principles, metrology, and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools for precision measurement of geometric dimensions.
• Must be able to perform trigonometric calculations and unit conversions with fractional imperial units and metric units.
• Experience in basic Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and measure fixtures to verify suitability for production use.
• Measure parts to investigate dimensional issues.
• Create reports and communicate the nature of dimensional issues to relevant personnel.
• Prioritize scan requests, log completed scans, and update spreadsheets on status of scan requests.
• Move items within the inspection area and across the plant manually or by crane or forklift.
• Perform monthly internal calibration of the CMM equipment.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the inspection area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
