Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Stuart, FL is seeking a CMM Operator/Inspector to set up, program, and operate CMM equipment for precise material and part inspection. The role supports engineering and quality teams to ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances and blueprints with accurate data capture.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of PC‑DMIS experience, sharp interpretation of GD&T, and a willingness to train others on CMM technology. Onsite schedule is Mon‑Thu, 5 AM to 3 PM, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

About the Opportunity:

Programs, sets up and operates Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in order to make complex, precise measurements of the requisite materials and parts. The individual performs visual and dimensional inspection on parts to determine their accuracy to parts specifications.

Location:

Stuart, FL - Onsite. Monday to Thursday, 5 AM to 3 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates CMM in order to make complex, precise measurements of materials and parts.
• Reads and interprets specifications, blueprints, templates and layouts for product tolerances and dimensions.
• Verified conformance of parts to specifications and blueprints with respect to measurements.
• Provide manufacturing with 1st piece and in-process data to ensure parts conformance.
• Perform In-Process and Final Inspections to support operations.
• Writes or modifies existing programs and creates new ones as required.
• Interprets measurement output data and graphic data.
• Work with engineering, machinists and quality assurance personnel to troubleshoot, research and solve technical problems.
• Train other employees in CMM technology and application.
• Generates alternate CMM Programs to Support First Article Inspection Reports and Production CMM Program validation.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience in CMM programming using PCDMIS
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in coordinate measuring machine techniques and application.
• Must have knowledge and ability to program CMM’s using PCDMIS software.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and other technical data including geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
• Proficient in use of precision measuring tools.
• Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, CNC equipment, quality standards and rework processes.
• Experience with quality systems and their application.
• Must have problem solving skills and experience.

Working Conditions:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, at times up to 50 pounds.
• Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
