Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Stuart, FL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Technical Lead to guide the engineering team in cost-effective manufacturing of high‑quality aircraft components. You will drive process improvements, lead Six Sigma projects, and interface with customers on concurrent engineering for design and production changes.

The role requires a technical bachelor’s degree, 7+ years in aerospace/machining, ITAR/EAR compliance, and strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or manufacturing engineering is required.
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace machining environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Resolve highly complex technical issues and conduct research.
• Recommend alterations to product development and design to improve quality and manufacturability.
• Provide direction to the team to create cost-effective manufacturing processes.
• Provide oversight to ensure processes meet program goals and customer requirements.
• Direct and review engineers; approve manufacturing processes as required.
• Lead and interface with customers on concurrent engineering for design/process changes.
• Lead Six Sigma projects, DOE, and design reviews for process improvement.
• Assess machine tool and equipment needs to meet capabilities or capacity.
• Identify manufacturing problems and initiate corrective actions.
• Visit suppliers to ensure supplier processes meet requirements.
• Manage customer relations for concurrent engineering and cost/delivery.
• Lead audits and train production staff; coach engineers.
• Support EH&S and ergonomics; promote safety practices.
• Investigate customer quality concerns and product escapes.
• Keep abreast of technology improvements.
