Job summary

Valar Atomics is hiring a CMM Operator to run MCOSMOS programs with Renishaw Revo 5-axis heads, inspecting precision components for modular reactor systems. You will fixture parts, execute programs, and review outputs in collaboration with the CMM Programmer and Quality team.

This hands-on role offers a clear path to CMM programming for the right candidate, within a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment that emphasizes ownership and quality.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years CMM or precision-inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Able to read engineering drawings and basic GD&T.
• Follow established inspection procedures and programs.
• Detail-oriented with strong data accuracy.
• Willing to work in startup shop-floor/metrology lab with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Load and fixture parts for CMM inspection per setup instructions.
• Run existing CMM programs in MCOSMOS with Revo heads.
• Review output and flag deviations to Quality.
• Troubleshoot alignment/fixturing; escalate program issues.
• Support calibration and upkeep of CMM equipment.
• Read engineering drawings and inspection reports; document results.
