Position Description:

This position is responsible for CMM operation using PC DMIS Software to perform dimensional inspections of manufactured aerospace and aircraft engine products under the guidance of the Lead CMM Programmer. Responsibilities include verifying conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and standards, and performing inspections at various stages of production, reporting results clearly regarding the disposition of parts or assemblies.

• Perform dimensional inspections and part measurements using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, profilometers, and gages to ensure product compliance.
• Operate CMMs with existing PC DMIS programs and create basic CMM programs as needed, following detailed work instructions for setup and measurement.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards, with a good understanding of GD&T, ANSI-Y14.5, PWA 360, and PWA 79360.
• Review and verify measurement results for compliance, ensuring only acceptable products proceed.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when required.
• Handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Operating a manual CMM is a plus.
• Report to the Quality Manager and coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of aerospace/manufacturing quality inspection experience.
• Proficiency with GD&T, ANSI Y.14, PWA 360/79360 drawing interpretation.
• Minimum of 2 years operating a CMM.
• Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe tools.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required due to ITAR regulations.
