Job summary

Crystal Group is seeking an Operator I, CMM to join the CNC department for on-site, full-time work in the Iowa region. The role involves operating coordinate measuring machines to inspect precision-manufactured components used in rugged computer systems, aligning setups, and documenting results.

The ideal candidate will have GD&T knowledge, blueprints literacy, and experience with precision measuring tools, contributing to quality and process improvements in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating CMM equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with GD&T principles and tolerances.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
• Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CMMs and follow established inspection programs.
• Select probes, fixtures, and inspection equipment per part requirements.
• Position, align, and secure components for inspection.
• Run CMM programs and monitor inspection data for accuracy.
• Document inspection results and nonconformances, communicate findings to team.
• Maintain inspection records and complete required quality documentation.
• Assist with first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
