Job summary

Enloe Health in Chico, California seeks a Chief Medical Information Officer to bridge clinical operations and information technology, guiding clinical informatics and Epic optimization across the system.

In this leadership role, you will partner with the CIO and medical staff to set strategic technology directions, champion workflow improvements, improve patient safety, and drive enterprise-wide IT transformation.

Qualifications

• Licensed physician eligible to practice in California.
• Recent clinical practice experience.
• Experience in medical informatics and clinical information systems development.
• Strong understanding of Epic applications or comparable EHR platforms.
• Board certification in Clinical Informatics preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary initiatives and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Bridge clinical operations, the medical staff, and information technology.
• Partner with CIO and physician leadership.
• Lead vision for physician technology adoption and IT service delivery.
• Champion workflow improvement, provider efficiency, and patient safety via technology.
• Collaborate with Medical Staff, Nursing, Quality and Ops to align best practices with IS strategy.
• Lead Epic optimization and technology governance initiatives.
• Represent IT in stakeholder meetings and enterprise-wide projects.
