Job summary

Novant Health seeks a Chief Health Informatics Officer to lead clinical informatics strategy across the enterprise. The CHIO will oversee Epic Dimensions optimization, governance, and integration efforts, aligning clinician needs with technology investments.

Reporting to senior executives, this role will shape digital health strategies, analytics, and patient care improvements, while guiding system-wide adoption and change management across hospitals and ambulatory sites.

Qualifications

Medical degree and board-certified clinical informatics physician.
Experience leading health IT strategy in large healthcare systems.
Proven track record in mergers/acquisitions and integration initiatives.
Must have EPIC experience and licensure in NC or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Set and execute enterprise clinical informatics strategy across clinical domains.
Lead Epic optimization and governance including workflow design and prioritization.
Govern clinical technology and data initiatives reflecting clinician needs.
Improve workflows and usability to support quality, safety, and efficiency.
Oversee implementation of clinical technologies and pathways.
Lead integration for mergers, acquisitions, and new facilities.
Advance clinical analytics ensuring regulatory compliance in EHR workflows.
Evaluate emerging technologies and digital health strategies.
