Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will develop highly complex, individualized treatment plans for radiation therapy and collaborate with a team of four other dosimetrists.

The role includes adherence to SOPs and regulations, participation in QA activities, and opportunities to mentor residents and trainees in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a JRCERT-accredited Medical Dosimetry program.
• Current certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) by MDCB.
• Clinical experience in radiation oncology treatment planning; Eclipse/Aria experience preferred.
• Proficiency with a broad range of disease sites and treatment techniques.
• Ability to independently evaluate treatment plans and collaborate with clinicians.
• Billing, Coding, & Documentation Integrity for regulatory reimbursement.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly complex, individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy.
• Work independently under the supervision of the Chief of Clinical Physics and with a dosimetry team.
• Contribute to departmental workflow improvements and quality assurance activities.
• Support education and mentorship of medical physics residents, dosimetry trainees, and clinical learners.
