Job summary

An AmLaw 50 law firm’s Global Finance group is seeking a Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) Associate Attorney to join a leading CMBS practice in US locations.

The role focuses on securitization, CRE CLOs, and related structured finance work for issuers, underwriters, servicers, and investors. Excellent drafting, due diligence, and multijurisdictional experience are essential.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
• 3–6 years of substantive experience in securitization and structured finance, CMBS space.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and negotiation of transaction documents, including BP letters, confidentiality agreements, securitization disclosures, and operative agreements.
• Drive deal structuring, due diligence, execution, and post-closing matters.
• Ensure regulatory and industry compliance across transactions.
• Collaborate with Global Finance team to deliver premier client service.
