Job summary

OU Health Partners is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Adult Urology Clinic in Oklahoma City. This full-time role may be filled as CMA I or CMA II based on experience and qualifications.

The position requires direct patient care alongside physicians and APPs, with duties spanning clinical and administrative tasks to support patient comfort and understanding of provider instructions. A sign-on bonus of up to $2,000 is offered for qualified individuals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; accredited MA program preferred.
• BLS certification required upon hire; CMA certifications from AMT, AAMA, NCCT, or NHA accepted.
• 1) CMA I: 0–3 years patient care; 2) CMA II: 3–5 years patient care.

Responsibilities

• Take vitals, patient history, venipuncture, lab, x-ray, referrals and messages as directed.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.
• Assess and reassess patient condition and monitor status.
• Manage large call volume with excellent telephone etiquette.
• Organize workflow to meet patient needs in a timely manner.
• Assist procedures and maintain sterile fields and labeling.
• Transmitting prescription refills and arranging hospital admissions as needed.
• De-escalate patient concerns and participate in safety audits.
