Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a healthcare assistant to perform patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, APP, or registered nurse, following established guidelines and standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, or completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, plus BCLS and CMA or NCMA certification. Experience can substitute education where allowed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred; MA or Nursing Assistant training required.
• One year of medical assistant or related clinical experience may substitute formal education.
• BCLS Basic Life Support certification required; CMA-AAMA or NCMA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of physician, APP, or RN in accordance with guidelines and standards.
• Follow established guidelines and standards in patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to support patient care.

Education
