Job summary

Sky Blue Healthcare LLC is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support licensed nursing staff by administering prescribed medications and monitoring patients in a healthcare setting. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, accurate record-keeping, and collaboration with the care team to ensure timely and safe medication delivery.

The CMA will document dosages and administration times, follow the Five Rights, and assist with mobility and hygiene tasks as needed,

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications to patients in accordance with established protocols and under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Maintain accurate records of all medications given.
• Patient Monitoring: Observe patients for changes in physical or mental condition. Promptly report any adverse reactions or side effects to appropriate medical personnel.
• Accurate Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of medication dosages and administration times. Adhere to the Five Rights of medication administration: right patient, right medication, right dose, right time, and right route.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with nurses and other healthcare team members to support comprehensive patient care. Ensure medications are administered in a timely and efficient manner.
• Physical Requirements: Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting or repositioning patients, and assisting with mobility or hygiene tasks.
