Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and Advanced Care Practitioners with patient care, intake, and documentation in a high-volume gastroenterology setting. The role includes clinic prep, vaccine and medication administration, venipuncture, and routine in-office testing.

Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with CLIA and OSHA standards.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• 3 years on the job training and CHS Medical Group approved competency assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the physician/ACP with patient care and intake.
• Performs pre-visit planning with provider and care team.
• Administers vaccines and medications as ordered and documents care.
• Performs Point of Care testing (POCT) and in-office lab tests.
• Completes and documents electronic care records as directed by the provider.
• Manages patient scheduling and referral authorizations as needed.

Educación

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Structured military training which is clinical in nature per DD214

Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing

3 years on the job training and CHS Medical Group competency assessment
