Job summary

Quality Correctional Care (QCC) seeks a dedicated Quality Medical Technician for night shifts at Bartholomew County Jail, Columbus, IN. You will perform medication administration, vital signs, and emergency responses under medical protocols and coordinate with the on-call Medical Provider.

The role requires CPR and 6 months of medical field experience, with EMT/QMA/CMA certifications preferred. Physical endurance is necessary for this 7PM–7AM schedule and potential lifting.

Qualifications

• Active CPR certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in the medical field.
• EMT, QMA, or CMA certification highly preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently.
• Must be capable of lifting upto 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration
• Obtaining vital signs
• Assisting in sick call using medical protocols
• Communicating with the facility or on-call Medical Provider
• Respond to medical emergencies
• Be capable of performing life saving measures and ability to take charge and give direction in an emergency.
• Collect laboratory specimens, as needed
• Follow the “Rules of 100” and provide patient care as specified
• Maintain accurateand up-to-dateinformation in patient charts

Location: Bartholomew County Jail, Columbus, Indiana

Shift Opening(s): 7PM to 7 AM, 3 nights per week with every other weekend rotation
