Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Palmetto Pulmonary to support primary care providers and deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with state guidelines. You will review health records, measure vital signs, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations, while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered service.

Responsibilities include chart prep, clerical tasks, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Active CMA/RMA/CCMA or ABR-OE acceptable (not in SC).
• BLS/CPR required at hire for certain locations; preferred before independent patient care.
• One year MA experience or two years clerical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service by greeting patients and the community respectfully.
• Prepares and reviews patient charts, verifies diagnostic results and records.
• Measures vital signs including pulse, respiration, BP, weight and height.
• Performs clerical duties: inventory, referrals tracking and phone coverage.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems promptly; other duties as assigned.
