Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support primary care in Petal, MS. The CMA will assist with clinical procedures, maintain exam rooms, manage patient intake, and help ensure efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

The role requires 0-1 years of experience, CMA or NCMA certification, and BCLS CPR. The position offers full-time hours with benefits and opportunity for growth within a mission-driven team in Mississippi.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT preferred
• BCLS (CPR) required by AHA/ARC/ASHI

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with clinical procedures and vital signs
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms for visits and procedures
• Performs patient intake, documents medical information, and reports test results
• Schedules appointments and coordinates referrals
• Manages clinic communications and verifies insurance eligibility
• Maintains organized workload and ensures patient service is timely and courteous
• Monitors supplies and equipment and maintains inventory
• Educates patients on medications, diets, and health topics
