Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support primary care services in Clinton/Flowood, MS. You will assist with clinical procedures, manage patient intake, and help maintain efficient clinic operations under supervision.

The CMA provides patient care, educates patients, and supports administrative tasks while ensuring quality service and adherence to policies in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant credential required (CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT).
• Post-externship experience in a medical practice preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical procedures and patient care.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; manage patient intake and triage.
• Document test results and maintain daily logs.
• Support front-d desk tasks: scheduling, referrals, and insurance checks.
• Educate patients on medications, diets, and health topics.
• Maintain attendance and comply with policies.
