Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program within 12 months of hire.
• BLS required.
• Prior medical reception and/or clinical experience with medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and greeting patients.
• Update and maintain patient files and medical records.
• Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules.
• Take vitals, explain treatment procedures, collect and prepare lab specimens.
• Authorize prescription refills and manage prescriptions with pharmacies.
• Sterilize medical equipment and maintain a clean working space.
