Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide a range of patient care activities under physician or APP supervision. The role supports established guidelines and patient safety.

Ideal candidates have either a medical assistant or nursing assistant credential, with additional CMA/N CMA certification. No formal experience required, though 1 year in a clinical role is accepted in lieu of formal education.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required or
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
• Assist in coordination of care and communication within the clinical team to support patient outcomes.
